2 cups ketchup3 tablespoons brown sugar2 tablespoons soy sauce2 tablespoons vegetarian Worcestershire sauce (can be omitted if not on hand)2 tablespoons cider vinegar⅛ teaspoon red pepper flakes (1/4 teaspoon if you like more heat)2-3 cloves of garlic, minced Directions: Add all ingredients to a medium-sized saucepan.Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat, and continue simmering for 15 minutes.Remove from heat and allow to cool. Add ribs or other meat, or place in an airtight container to use as a base for a future dish. Keep refrigerated for up to one week.
